अफीम (अहिफेन) के बारे में:
खस (पोस्त/Poppy) के फल से निकलने वाले दूध (क्षीर) को आफूक और अहिफेनक (अफीम) कहा गया है।
आफूक (अफीम) शरीर में रूखापन लाने वाली (शोषण), मल को बांधने वाली (ग्राही), कफ दोष का नाश करने वाली, तथा वात और पित्त दोष को बढ़ाने वाली होती है।
About Opium (Ahiphena):
The latex/milk extracted from the fruit of the poppy plant (Khasa) is known as Aaphooka and Ahiphenaka (Opium).
Aaphooka is desiccating or drying in nature , absorbent/bowel-binding , destroys Kapha dosha, and aggravates Vata and Pitta doshas.
