परिचय और नाम: अब मोक्ष (मोखा वृक्ष) का वर्णन करते हैं। मोक्ष, मोक्षक, रोलीढ, गोलिह, क्षारश्रेष्ठ और क्षारवृक्ष — ये मोखा के पर्यायवाची नाम हैं।
प्रकार: यह वृक्ष दो प्रकार का होता है: श्वेत (सफ़ेद) और कृष्ण (काला)।
गुण: मोखा स्वाद में कटु (तीखा) और तिक्त (कड़वा) होता है। यह मल को बांधने वाला और गर्म तासीर वाला होता है, तथा कफ और वात दोष को शांत करता है।
रोग निवारण: यह ज़हर, मेद (अतिरिक्त चर्बी / मोटापा), गुल्म (पेट में वायु का गोला / tumors), खुजली, मूत्राशय या पेडू का दर्द, कृमि (कीड़ों) और शुक्र (वीर्य) का नाश करने वाला है। (अर्थात, इसके तीक्ष्ण और क्षारीय गुणों के कारण यह शुक्र/वीर्य को क्षीण करता है)।

Varieties: This tree is of two types: white (Shveta) and black (Krishna).
Properties: Mokha is pungent and bitter in taste. It is absorbent or bowel-binding in nature , hot in potency and successfully pacifies the Kapha and Vata doshas.
