तेंदू
अब तिन्दुक (तेंदू / आवानूस) के विषय में:
तिन्दुक, स्फूर्जक, कालस्कन्ध और असितकारक—ये सभी तेंदू वृक्ष के संस्कृत पर्यायवाची नाम हैं।
कच्चा तिन्दुक फल ग्राही (मल को बांधने वाला), वात को बढ़ाने वाला, तासीर में शीतल (ठंडा) और पचने में लघु (हल्का) होता है।
पका हुआ तिन्दुक फल पित्त, प्रमेह (मूत्र विकार/मधुमेह), रक्त विकार और कफ का नाश करने वाला होता है। यह स्वाद में मधुर (मीठा) और पचने में भारी होता है।

Tindukah, Sphurjakah, Kalaskandhashcha, and Asitakarakah are the synonymous names of the Tendu tree.
The unripe Tendu fruit is stool binding , aggravates vata dosha , is cooling in potency and light to digest .
The ripe Tendu fruit pacifies pitta, prameha (urinary disorders/diabetes), blood disorders , and kapha . It is sweet in taste and heavy to digest .
